With a move to Los Angeles and adapting to the musical direction of the times, the band transformed to Gypsy. They recorded four albums and toured nationally until their break-up in 1975. Calvin 1982 This photo appeared on the back cover of The Steamers Album, recorded in New York in 1982. The Steamers music was a mix of blues and southern style rock. Universal Studios took notice and used most of the songs for film and television soundtracks.
